Very Inspiring Blogger Award

I was nominated by the lovely Skylar@Life of a Random. Thanks, Sky! You're the best. :)

Apparently I'm inspiring. Very inspiring. Who knew?

Rules
1. Thank and link back to the amazing person(s) who nominated you.
2. List the rules and display the award.
3. Share seven facts about yourself.
4. Nominate some other amazing blogs and comment on their posts to let them know they have been nominated.

Okay, I dunno about you, but I've been listing too many facts about myself recently. I may be very inspiring, but I'm not very interesting.

7 Facts About Mwuah

1. I've been going through a stage where I listen to tons of k-pop.

Not this kind.

Or this kind.

The awesome thing is that k-pop is all the genres of music, just in Korean, with a couple English phrases here and there.

I happen to like listening to bad boy groups in k-pop, which basically means that they don't emotionally grab their faces or cup their faces with their hands or wear lots of pink. The starting group for my sister and I was BEAST. Or, y'know, B2ST. Their fans are called Beauties, which is cool whether or not you think so.

WHY YOU LEAVE ME ALONE, BABY???!!!!!

Also, Teen Top can dance, okay? Watch "Rocking". They can dance. So can BTS. And GOT7. Another awesome thing about k-pop: ALMOST ALL OF THEM CAN DANCE.

2. I can't catch a ball for the life of me (I'm terrified that I'll get hit in the face), or hardly throw any, but for some reason I'm fairly good at throwing a football. (the American kind, for those of who don't live here) This proves that not all traits are passed down from generation to generation, because my dad is good at every sport he tries. It's maddeningly unfair.

3. It takes at least two nights for me to adjust to a new bed. I've always been super jealous of my dad, who can practically fall asleep on command.

4. I can't eat very spicey food well, even though I'm half Asian. Sometimes, peoples, stereotypes lie.

5. Apparently, I have a scary angry face. Which I take full advantage of. RUN, little children, RUN.

6. I like glasses better than contacts.

There. You can't say no to the Doctor.

7. I once told my sister that swag was for losers and guys with real swag didn't have swag, they had a sort of lean, and she hasn't stopped teasing me about that since. I regret that statement very, very much.

Nominees

I feel bad because I do this every time but I literally know NO ONE in the blogosphere. Except, y'know, my sister, and she's the one that nominated me, so...

But I'd love to get to know you guys, so please join in if you want! Post the link in the comments and I'll read your post and comment on your overflowing awesome-ness.

One Almost First-Draft, One Campus Tour, and Two Birthdays

There were five sort've-major events that happened recently. Or just three, depending on how you look at it.

  1. It was my sister's birthday!
  2. It was also my mom's birthday!
  3. I went on a university tour with my dad and sis, checking out the campus and sitting in a 30 minute meeting/conference/thingy. My mom took care of my brother the whole time, and told me to pay very careful attention, because what my sis was doing would be me one day. (It was all very terrifying.)
  4. I've almost reached 70,000 words on my first draft in one of my WIPs! (The scary part of this is that there's still so much of the story to tell.)
  5. I saw Thor: The Dark World!!!! (finally)
On Major Event 1, the whole thing was super professional. I had to sneak photos when no one else was looking because it'd be incredibly awkward if they happened to be standing in front of me when I took it.

It also dawned upon me how horribly short I am. Every time I walked through a doorway near some guy, my eyes nearly bugged out of my head because I felt like I was about to be squashed. (But it's not my fault! Both of them were all athletic and sportsy. And one of them had a really low voice. It was weird.)

The cathedral at this school was amazing. I took a picture, but it was all blurry and there was half of the top of someone's head in it (yes, it was one of the guys. I was standing directly behind him and I couldn't see anything but his back, the ceiling, and the parts of the room beside and around me). My dad and I snuck out for about fifteen minutes because we were early, and I got most of my pics then. The reason why one of these is blurry, is because I couldn't take my eyes off of my little brother for a second before he was racing off into the middle of the road. I don't think he realizes cars/trucks/pretty much any vehicle could squash him flat.

Otey Hall. Yes. That's its real name.

Part of the Quad. There's one side missing, so students have taken to calling it "Truad" or sth.
This is the absolutely gorgeous (and delicious, might I add) all chocolate cake that we had for my mom's and sister's birthday. (Which actually happened quite a bit before the campus tour and such.)

We went to an Italian restaurant beforehand. It was also incredibly good. I gave my mom her present (a butterfly necklace-- I found both the pendant and the necklace itself at Michael's. trust me when I say it's really hard to hide things from the person paying for them. also, this is the only present for her I've ever been almost positive she would like/love) and then, a few days afterwards, my sister's presents finally arrived in the mail!! I was so pumped because I would get to tantalize/torture her with them because I knew she would absolutely love them.

I was, of course, correct. She squealed and hugged me and said "thank you" a million times. I was very pleased with myself.

And for my WIP, I'm extremely excited with how it's been coming along. It's the size of a real book, and I just keep on giggling as I think about having an actual copy in my hands one day. (I also realized that since I started it almost two years ago, it needs serious work. Some of it is very cringe-worthy.)

And I will be talking about Thor: The Dark World, soon. Probably alongside a book review of Save the Enemy, by Arin Greenwood (whenever I get around to reading it).

Guest Post: 10 Ways to Make Your Sister Mad

Fabulous guest post by the lovely Skylar Finn. You can find her at Life of a Random.

10 Ways to Make Your Sister Mad
To be honest, I was going to do siblings but I realized that I don't have as much experience with making brothers mad since mine is four and gets mad when I take away his toy train. I'm guessing teenage guys don't do that (this is also about teenagers...or 10+ maybe).

1. Ignore her. This is very effective.
2. Call dibs on a book/series that she loves. Claws out. She's gonna forget all the nice stuff you've done for her.
3. Eat the last chocolate. I admit that this is a personal weakness.
4. Steal her phone/computer/electronic device. These are soulless actions. Stop them. Unless you want to die. (I have both given and received death threats for this particular one.)
5. Unknowingly use the same name for a character you're writing as she did.

sister: "You copied me!"
you: "I didn't know."
sister: "Plagiarist! I WILL SUE YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU OWN."

(More or less the way it goes. I may have exaggerated a tiny bit)
6. Mimic her. It's infuriating to her. Trust me ;)
7. Order her to do something. She won't and you'll hurt from either punches or the murderous glare she's throwing your way.
8. Play a song she hates over and over...and over...again.
9. Grin and be happy when she's already in a mood. She is disgusted by your joy. It fuels her hate-fire.
10. Mess up one of her books (heaven forbid). Yeah, don't do this on purpose. I mean, I love making my sister mad but that just takes it too far. Hurting books for the sake of revenge (or whatever else)? What kind of person are you anyways?

I know that no sibling relationship is exactly the same so these are just facts that I've discovered while interacting with my sister. Hehehe. Don't worry, we're really close.

Or we have been until now.

Anyways. Let's just brush past that. Do you know someone who does these things or do you practice these activities yourself *wiggles eyebrows*? (You little naughty you.) Is your sister ticked off by any of these things?

Tansie again. Thanks to Sky for the guest post and sharing her evil schemes! (My personal favorite is 5.)

To Sky: You're hilarious and I love you. But if you play 'Mm Yeah' one more time...

Oh my word. Seriously dying with laughter right now.
